Our Vintage Ale honours the pinnacle of brewing at Coopers. The 2023 Coopers Vintage Ale features Talus, a hop from the US Pacific North West bred for hoppy brews like Vintage Ale. An experimental dual-purpose hop (HBC-638) is also used for its bittering characters while also offering heady aromatic characters to this year’s release.
Talus brings aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, roses, grapefruit, sage and pine needles while HBC-638 adds stone fruit and herbaceous characters to the mix. When fermented with our revered Coopers Ale yeast flavours of berries, melons, herbs and apples flourish.
It is perfect to drink now, or if stored under cellar conditions, it will evolve to become mellow as the aromatic hop bitterness subsides and malt sweetness comes to the fore.
