Vegan Chocolate Brownies Recipe: Prep time: 15 min, Cook time: 35 min, Serves: 24 Ingredients: 200g dairy-free dark chocolate, chopped into small chunks 170g self-raising flour 3 tbsp cocoa powder 120g caster sugar 1/4 tsp sea salt 5 tbsp sunflower oil, plus extra for greasing 1 tsp vanilla extract 6 tbsp vegan milk alternative (unsweetened) 1 can Nestle Plant Based Condensed Milk Alternative 370g 100g chopped walnuts (optional) You will also need:22cm brownie tin, lined with baking parchment Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4. 2. Melt 150g chocolate in a microwave gently in short bursts. 3. Mix the dry ingredients except the nuts (if using) in a large bowl. 4. Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl, add the melted chocolate then pour everything into the flour mixture and mix until combined (it will be quite thick that’s fine!). 5. Mix in the remaining chopped chocolate and nuts if using. 6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for about 35 minutes or until the brownie is cooked in the centre (a knife should come out with a moist crumb but not wet batter). 7. Leave the brownies to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.8. Serve while still warm with some vegan ice cream.Ingredients
